Day 1: Agadir — Foum Zguid
Early departure from Agadir towards Taroudant, the “Little Marrakech.” You’ll have time to stroll among its historic ramparts and discover the authentic atmosphere of its souks. The journey continues to the Tiout oasis for a traditional lunch at the Kasbah. The afternoon will be dedicated to immersing yourself in its vast palm grove, which you’ll explore on foot or by donkey at the pace of the locals. Finally, you’ll head due south towards Igherm before reaching Foum Zguid for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Foum Zguid — M’Hamid
Head into the heart of the desert for a spectacular leg of your journey. You’ll cross wild expanses and lunar landscapes that will surprise even the most seasoned travelers, with a few stops in remote oases for a refreshing break. Arrival in M’Hamid, where the asphalt gives way to the vastness of the dunes. The evening will be magical: you will be welcomed by the Tuareg, dine to the rhythm of traditional drumming, and spend the night under the stars or in a nomad tent.
Day 3: M’Hamid — Ouarzazate Travel up the majestic Draa Valley. After a stop in Zagora, you will follow an endless ribbon of greenery to Agdz. For a more immersive experience, your driver will take a track winding through the heart of the palm grove. The scenery then changes dramatically: you will leave the gentle palm trees for the ruggedness of the mountainous terrain and arid canyons. Check-in and overnight stay in a guesthouse in or near Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazate — Marrakech
An early departure to cross the High Atlas Mountains and reach Marrakech by midday. The afternoon will be dedicated to the history of the “Red City”: a visit to the magnificent Bahia Palace, the ruins of the Badii Palace, and the Saadian Tombs. The day will end with the vibrant atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna square and the captivating labyrinth of the souks. Overnight stay in the tranquility of a charming riad in the heart of the medina.
Day 5: Marrakech — Agadir
Enjoy a free morning for last-minute shopping or a final stroll through the city’s gardens. After lunch, you will begin your return journey to Agadir. Arrival at your hotel in the late afternoon will bring this trip to a close and allow you to enjoy a well-deserved rest after these five days of adventure.
