Day 1: The Ascent to Tafraout
The journey begins at dawn in Agadir, heading south to Tafraout (160 km). The route is punctuated by unmissable sights: the authentic village of Ait Baha, followed by the majestic Kasbah of Tizourgane, a true stone sentinel perched atop its rocky outcrop. After crossing the Idikle Pass, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Ameln Valley, you will have lunch in the center of Tafraout, famous for its pink granite formations with lunar shapes. The adventure continues to Oumesnate, a village nestled at the foot of a granite wall. There, you will visit a traditional house (now an ecomuseum) before settling into a charming guesthouse. The evening will be filled with the songs and dances of a Berber festival led by local youth.
Day 2: The Eden of Ait Mansour
After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll head to the Ait Mansour Valley (30 km south). Prepare for a breathtaking view: canyons with vertiginous walls protect a lush oasis where water meanders beneath a dense palm grove. The itinerary includes a hike to soak up the serenity of the place, followed by a picnic lunch in the heart of nature. We’ll return to Agadir at the end of the day via the scenic Tiznit road.
